Привет, дорогие читатели и подписчики! Поскольку в последнее время заслуживающих внимания новинок ЛитРпг на Самиздате не так много, как хотелось бы, второй выпуск рубрики «Дайджест игровой фантастики» будет посвящен зарубежным произведениям на тему игр и виртуальной реальности. Такая литература на Западе и Востоке пользуется большим успехом, хотя и мало известна отечественному читателю да и к жанру ЛитРпг ее можно причислить лишь условно. Как я уже писал в одной из своих статей, то, что мы понимаем под этим термином — всего лишь литературный прием, который активно использовали и используют разные авторы, как наши, так и зарубежные. В некое подобие жанра данный прием превратился исключительно стараниями самиздатовцев . Но это, конечно, не значит, что все книги на тему игр в виртуальной реальности надо безоговорочно относить к ЛитРпг. Таким образом, в сегодняшнем дайджесте речь пойдет о книгах, которые с одной стороны не являются ЛитРпг по сути, а с другой, являются. Такие вот взаимоисключающие параграфы.
Ну что ж, с лирическим отступлением покончено, пора перейти к делу. А начнем мы с весьма известного и популярного в Англии и США произведения.

Эпик – Конор Костик

Действие происходит в далеком будущем. Все люди живущие на планете является гражданами так называемой Новой Земли. Каждый гражданин вынужден всю жизнь играть в виртуальную игру Эпик, потому что, только так можно заработать себе на пропитание, подняться по карьерной лестнице и вообще, добиться чего-нибудь в этом мире. В общем, все люди загружены в Матрицу, которая выполнена в стиле фэнтези и весьма напоминает мир игры World Of Warcraft . Главного героя зовут Эрик. Его отец был отправлен в ссылку за игровое правонарушение, и теперь парнишка хочет восстановить справедливость. С этой целью он удаляет своего старого перса и создает новый аватар, меняя пол на женский и тратя все начальные пойнты на прокачку характеристики «красота». Начав игру заново, Эрик в образе красотки неожиданно идет к успеху, и со временем решает устроить революцию в игровом мире, свергнув хозяев Эпика, которые по совместительству являются правительством Новой Земли.

Первому игроку приготовиться – Эрнест Клайн


ОАЗИС – глобальная ММО, которая стала новой реальностью и заменила собой Интернет и телевидение. Человечество бежит от серых неприглядных будней в виртуальный мир ОАЗИСА. Главный герой по имени Уэйд Уоттс становится пасхантером – охотником за пасхалками, своеобразными головоломками, разбросанными по миру игры эксцентричным миллиардером и создателем ОАЗИСа Джеймсом Холлидэем. Разгадка головоломки – ключ к несметным богатствам и Уэйду предстоит побороться за них в виртуальном и реальном мирах.
Книга довольно необычна и очень хорошо написана. Радует, что роман уже переведен на русский язык и у всех желающих есть возможность его прочитать.

В маленькой, но уютной квартире многоэтажного дома допоздна горел свет, когда в соседних квартирах все давно уже спали. Единственный на данный момент обитатель квартиры – парень лет двадцати двух – сидел в мягком кресле. На его усталом лице застыла улыбка, а вечно взъерошенные чёрные волосы выбивались даже из-под очередного нового устройства для полного погружения, сверкавшего своими индикаторами. Это устройство было выпущено совсем недавно и досталось парню для тестирования. Лампочка «Online» горела, не переставая, что могло означать только одно – обладатель этого устройства находится в виртуальном мире...

А в маленькой квартире, которую Кадзуто и Асуна купили недавно, чтобы уединиться, всё ещё горел свет. На лице Кадзуто всё так же играла улыбка, но более широкая и бестолковая, а рядом с парнем сидела Асуна; девушка тоже улыбалась, держа мужа за руку...

Что такое игра? Что такое реальный мир? Где между ними находится та грань которая отделяет две параллельных реальности? Эти вопросы мы можем задать себе лишь поневоле, когда ситуация доходит до своей культовой границы. Даже сейчас сложно сказать что такое Online game. Лично для меня - это не просто параллельный мир, а жестокая реальность. Иногда можно сказать, что в игре мы не имеем реального тела или навыков - это так, но одновременно и нет. Только игрок делает game неповторимой и насыщенной, только он может превзойти программу и подняться на более высокий уровень. До того - в каждой Online игре, мы управляем своими мыслями и эмоциями, что делает нас не куклами программы, а её воинами, игроками, реальными персонажами. Всего между виртуальным и настоящим миром мало различия: живешь, развиваешься, борешься с боссами (в реальности жизненные перипетии), а главное, всегда защищаешь что-то дорогое для себя. Asuna, Yuki - они, и не только, это те люд, за которых я готов положить свою жизнь на кон и бороться до последнего. Я Kirito - человек, который первый прошел Sword Art Online, а теперь, эта игра снова вернулась.

Альянс геймеров
Kirito посмотрел в небеса. Он пристально посмотрел на Ейбрасиля - большое дерево, в надежде увидеть его вершину. К сожалению юноша знал что крылья феи можно использовать только 10 минут, а этого явно недостаточно чтобы добраться до вершины Мирового Дерева. Сама же постройка была совершенно не похожа на растение, скорее казалась крупной фигурой неправильной формы. По всему стволу нельзя было найти даже веточки, не то что листочка и только над куполом, который не позволял игрокам попасть на вершину воздухом, распростерлись огромные ветви дерева.


Kirito вдохнул полную грудь воздуха и приготовился сорваться с места до Ейбрасиля. Честно говоря он, и его друзья из Sword Art Online уже давно ждали когда Kirito встанет и двинулись за ним. На счет самого юноши: он был пацаном на вид лет 16 - 17. Черные волосы, атлетический, крепкий. Одет был в темную накидку, черные нарукавники и теплые сапоги, а за спиной у Kirito красовались два меча, один из которых был темным, а другой горел яркими белыми огоньками.

В группе Kirito находились следующие персонажи: Asuna, Yuki, Klein, Sati, Silika, Ehil, а также многие другие. Все они приближались к Ейбрасиля и скоро оказались перед входными воротами в ствол дерева.
- Ну что ж друзья, сделаем привал и обсудим нашу стратегию. - Сказала Asuna.
- Небольшой перерыв... и правда не... помешает. - Говорил запыхавшийся Klein. Он долго не устоял на ногах и уселся прямо на холодную плитку из камня. Klein был высоким юношей с каштановыми волосами. На голове у него красовалась повязка, или бандана, что именно хотел показать игрок, оказалось сложно понять. «Давайте так полежим, отдохнем» - дополнил Klein, но его сон сразу перебили.
- Ты хочешь так целую вечность расслабляться, а я то думал что ты желаешь дойти до глав босса, а оказалось, даже на дерево подняться уже сил нет? - Хотел подколоть своего друга Kirito. Он хорошо знал Kleinа и поэтому был уверен что того это заденет, причем именно так и произошло.
- Что? И как ты даже подумать такое мог. Едем! - Вскочив на ноги вскрикнул Klein. После этого юноша быстро направился к двери в ствол дерева, но ему путь закрыло два металлических воина с огромными мечами.
- Эй, так не справедливо. - Заговорил Klein. Он не знал что эти гиганты всего лишь статуи которые не могут нанести вред. В то время вокруг поднялся смех: кого данная ситуация просто удивила, кто знал в чем причина, а другие смеялись исключительно за компанию.
- Kirito - кун, все в порядке? Не переживай, мы справимся без лишних проблем. - Тихо сказал парню Asuna. Наверное из всех персонажей, она была самой красивой. Светлые длинные волосы, прекрасное лицо. Её глаза сверкали зелеными огоньками и когда девушка улыбалась, то Kirito казалось, что солнце слепило ему глаза. Так, мы выяснили что Asuna - сан была изысканная и элегантная, однако кроме внешней красоты, в ней сидел темный бес, точнее говоря огонь с помощью которого она могла беспощадно уничтожать врагов и боссов. Asuna была просто воплощением красоты и большого мастерства.

- Да я не волнуюсь, когда мы вместе, все возможно. - Улыбнувшись сказал девице Kirito. «Я же обещал что чтобы не случилось, всегда смогу тебя защитить». Сказав это юноша обнял Asunу и прижал посильнее к себе.

В игре они уже успели пожениться и построили себе дом на 22 левеле Айтграда, хотя туда еще надо было добраться, но Kirito поставил себе цель преодолеть путь от 1 до 22 уровня за неделю, ну максимум две. Что касается реальности, то они и там были «почти женаты», ведь любили друг друга всем сердцем.
- Ты же знаешь что я не пущу тебя одного в самое пекло и пойду вместе с тобой. - Девушка также объясняли Kirito, а затем и поцеловала в губы. Поцелуй показался теплим и сладким, он мог одурманить голову и дать потоку эмоций вырваться на поверхность, однако в разговор вмешался Klein.
- Знаешь Kirito, я думал что ты тоже хочешь пройти все 100 уровней, однако видно ошибся, ты хотя бы до первого дойти смог с такими темпами. Я конечно не имею ничего против, но главнокомандующий армии нам все же нужен для преодоления Ейбрасиля. - Klein сказал это с иронией и сатирой, хотя в целом, он хотел подтолкнуть друга к действиям, как несколько минут назад сделал сам Kirito.
Asuna лишь улыбнулась своему парню в лицо и отпустила его из объятий, так же как это сделал Kirito. В целом он был разочарован что пришлось так быстро вернуться к реальности и приготовиться к поединку.
- Каковы будут ваши установки командир? - Весело говорил Ehil.
- Именно так Asuna. Что нам делать? После того как командир гильдии «Рыцарей Крови» исчез, ну вы знаете, ты должна была занять его место. - Сказал Kirito.
- По идее да, но мы распустили гильдию и до того, когда они говорили о главнокомандующем, то имели в виду тебя - Kirito - кун. - Весело ответила ему девушка.
- Почему? Такого быть не может! Я был в гильдиях только два раза и то быстро снова стал одиночкой, а вы предлагаете мне принять командование! - Kirito руками и ногами вцепився за спасительную соломинку, ему не хотелось брать на себя ответственность за стольких игроков, однако он знал чем все закончится, поэтому просто тянул время.
- Kirito - ты прошел всю игру, причем действовал не один, а с нами всеми, мы боролись на одном фронте, но ты, самый опытный среди нас всех, поэтому легко справишься с обязанностями лидера этого отряда. - Заговорил Ehil.
- Эх, ничего не поделаешь. Так уж и быть, однако с вас потом могорич. - Сказал Kirito.
- Обязательно. - Вмешался Klein.
Затем командир посмотрел на Asunу. Kirito заметил на её лице ту самую не угасающую улыбку и она «одолжила» ему уверенности. Улыбка девушки будто говорила: «Я тебе всегда помогу» - это можно было прочитать и без слов и тогда парень вдохнул побольше воздуха и начал отдавать первые приказы.
- Значит так - наш соперник - глав босс игры Альфхейм Online. Это не один соперник, а целое войско низькостатових воинов. Однако они побеждают противников количество, там слишком много врагов, и нам придется не очень весело, но мы разделимся на 4 группы по 7 игроков и создадим единый альянс. Первая группа - мед частица. Члены этой «пати» * должны лечить с помощью заклинаний бойцов других групп, смотрите внимательно за нашим HP и не давайте иму падать ниже зеленой зоны - это очень важно. Вторая группа - это поддержка. Вы должны защищать первую «пати» от мобов *. Когда мы поднимемся чуть выше то некоторые соперники начнут агриты не основную массу бойцов, но и других персонажей на заднем плане. По этому, вы должны защитить мед группу от этих ботов. Третья и Четвертая группы - атакующие. Мы вистроемся клином по 2 человека: один дажет, другой в авангарде и будем меняться друг с другом. На эти 2 «пати» придется тяжелый удар. Все остальные игроки, которые не входят в альянс - импровизируйте на среднем кольце. Ваша задача не давать мобами добраться до 3 и 4 группы которые будут сражаться на переднем фронте. Не забывайте прикрываться и защищать спину товарища. Все ясно? - Сказал Kirito.
- Агасси. - Теперь уже в разговор вмешалась Lisa - сестра Kirito. Она сначала не любила играть в Online game, но потом на себе почувствовала то прекрасное чувство, увлечение этим виртуальным миром. Девушка была стройная, со светлыми, даже огненными волосами. За спиной у неё красовалась двойная пара крыльев бабочки - с Альфхейм Online. Наверное Lisa была едва ли не единственным игроком в которой крылья находились постоянно, даже в зонах где летать было невозможно.
- Ну что же, тогда поехали! - Kirito поднял своего черного клинка в гору, а затем направил его на дверь. Альянс в тот же миг уже сформировался и все знали что нужно делать. Затем группа игроков, как дикая стая ворвались через входные двери в Мировое Древо.

There"s no over-the-top shipping, a dark tone, and a unique portrayal of a realistically emotionally damaged Kirito. Plus, the image of Kazuto, Klein, and Agil playing drinking games is just too damn awesome. On the downside, author has seemingly inconsistent writing, and although the recent stuff is better, this chapter is abnormally above average for him. He might not keep up this level of writing.

Instead of keeping to SAO’s standard fantasy-action formula, Aincrad Retold pulls readers into a more realistic take of the world of Sword Art Online. Most notable of the story is the author’s understanding of medieval combat, a realistic interpretation of the cast, and his focus on fixing issues found in the SAO story. As the story summary reads: “Dangerous dungeons and creatures, ancient grudges and secrets, everlasting war and chaos in the castle of Aincrad. The fake reality, now the prison of 15000 unfortunate souls due to the dreams of a madman. How far must they struggle, what would they destroy and who would they sacrifice to earn their freedom? Well-done character interactions all around combined with awesome fight scenes make one wish Shino really was around during this time.

The character interactions are well-written, and familiar faces such as Argo, Asuna, Sachi, and to a lesser extent Agil and Klein add much more to the text. There is also an interesting subplot culminating around how Kizmel"s growing awareness is leading her to understand just what Aincrad and who the players are, including her own role as an NPC.
